The following personal data may be processed in the course of using our apps:
Contact data of you and your customers
(name, first name, address, telephone number, fax number, mobile number, email address)
Images selected by you
Your location data
The apps offer the possibility to record the measurement data measured by our measuring instrument, to process it for the creation of a report, to create the report itself and to integrate the measured values and other data into the report. All data retrieved from your end device and its use serve exclusively for the creation of reports. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The Saveris Installation App guides you through the installation of Testo Saveris devices and also offers Testo employees the possibility to create an acceptance report. In this report, the name, email address and signature of the Testo employee as well as the name, address of the installation site and email addresses of the customer are processed. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
2.2. Contact
You have various ways of contacting us, including the contact form on our website, the telephone hotline and contact via email. In this context, we process data exclusively for the purpose of communicating with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data collected by us when using the contact form will be automatically deleted after your request has been fully processed, unless we still need your request to fulfil contractual or legal obligations (see section "Retention Period").
2.3. Integration of Your Contacts and Images into the Report
(does not apply to Saveris Installation App)
You have the option to include your contact data and images in the report. In doing so, the apps actively access your personal data (name, first name, address) from your contact list or images from your photo gallery after you have selected the contacts in advance. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
All data/photos selected by you and inserted into the report are simply copied from the storage location of your end device into the report.
2.4. Use of Your Location Data
(does not apply to Saveris Installation App)
For the communication of our measuring instrument with measuring probes/other devices via Bluetooth, it may be necessary to collect your location data. You must therefore activate the location service on your device. This access to your location data is required exclusively for the functionality of Bluetooth communication. We will neither use your location data for any other purpose nor store it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
2.5 Data Processing in the Event of App Crashes

Further information on data processing in testo Smart Connect can be found in the corresponding privacy policy.

Retention period and deletion
You have the option at any time to delete synchronised data in testo Smart Connect and to close your user account.
Use of Sentry (Error Analysis)
Description and purpose of processing
To ensure the stability and security of the app, we use the Sentry service of Functional Software, Inc., USA. Sentry is used to analyse technical errors and crashes in order to improve the functionality of the app.
In the course of error analysis, technical information is processed, in particular:
Information about the device and operating system
Time of the error
Technical log data on the crash sequence
It is not the purpose of the processing to identify you as a user.
Data Protection Measures (Relay Server)
To protect your personal data, we use a so-called relay server. This acts as an upstream instance and ensures that in particular no IP address or other directly identifying data is transmitted to Sentry in the USA.
The relay server is operated within the European Union by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg. This architecture considerably reduces the risk of personal identification.
Third-country transfer
A transfer of data to the USA cannot be completely excluded. However, this is carried out exclusively in anonymised or pseudonymised form. In addition, appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR are used (in particular standard contractual clauses).
Legal basis
The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the technical stability, security and continuous improvement of the app.
Further information
For further information on data processing by Sentry, please visit: http://docs.sentry.io/product/relay/
In principle, we store personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the contractual or legal obligations for which we collected the data. After that, we delete the data immediately, unless we still need the data until the expiry of the statutory limitation period for evidentiary purposes for civil law claims or due to statutory retention obligations.
Your photos and contact data in the reports are not stored.
In addition, our apps can also write to your SD card/storage location on request. This allows you to save your actively selected data (measured values, reports, images, other data) on the SD card/in the storage location.
The IP address is only processed for data transmission. No further processing, and in particular no storage, takes place.
You have the following rights:
Information: You can find out at any time what data we process about you and why.
Rectification: You can have incorrect or outdated data corrected.
Erasure: You can request the deletion of your data. If this is not legally possible, the data will be processed in a restricted manner.
Restriction: You can request that your data is only processed in a restricted manner (e.g. in cases of uncertainty about accuracy).
Data portability: You can receive your data in a digital format or have it transferred to another provider.
Objection: You can object to the processing of your data if it is based on legitimate interests or public tasks.
Complaint: You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw consent that you have given at any time with effect for the future.
Contact: To exercise your rights, you can contact us at any time.
We maintain current technical measures to ensure data security, in particular to protect your personal data from risks during data transmissions and from being accessed by third parties. These are updated in line with the current state of the art.
