Human Resources Officer - Job Description


  • Management of the HR function from employee recruitment through to termination
  • Administration of Company Pension Schemes, Life Assurance and Permenant Health Insurances
  • Processing Payroll 


  • Several years HR experience and general employment law knowledge 
  • Confidentiality and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative attributes 


Main Tasks:

Human Resources

· Recruitment management

· Issue job offers and contracts of employment; conducting inductions, setting up new employee’s and the reverse process for leavers

· Manage and advise other Managers on various aspects of employment

· Advise and coach Managers on correct procedures when dealing with disciplinary issues and attend hearings

· Manage maternity/paternity leave

· Absence management including holiday, sickness, time off for dependents, etc.

· Management of salary increases, promotions and general changes to terms and conditions of employment

· Update Code of Practice and implementation of employment related policies and procedures

· Processing the payroll actioning all necessary anomalies; additional payments; bonus, overtime payments etc. and deductions, SSP, SMP, SPP, attachments of earnings, etc.

· Management of the Company pension scheme including the calculation and deduction of pension contributions from employer and employee and submission of monthly payments to the   pension provider

· Administration of the Company Permanent Health and Life Assurance policies

· Expense claim monitoring

· Update Global HR Platform

Office Management

· Liaison with Insurance Broker to assess adequate cover for all aspects of the Company (with the exception of the Car Fleet Insurance)

· Monthly submission of financial statistics to Insurance Broker

· Key holder and authorised person for office security/alarm system

· General Office administration as assigned

 Assistance to the MD

· Diary management

· Telephone call screening

· Travel and accommodation booking

· Ad hoc project work

· Retain confidentiality regarding company information and issues


· Responsible for administration and implementation of GDPR

· National coach for online academy
