Technical Support Engineer - Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide software and hardware support within our Solution Services Department
The role responsibilities include providing project support for hardware and software, some on-site customer visits will also be required. Other roles include Project Management support, helping with the setting up of digitised workflow programs in our Solutions platform and the setting up of projects within our calibration management software.  There will also be a training aspect to the roll, training end users and internal Testo staff. It is also envisaged that this role will also involve conducting on-site temperature/humidity mapping services.


The role: To be successful in the Technical Support Engineer role, you should have a technical customer service background and be comfortable using and learning new software. Being able to communicate confidently and clearly is an essential requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Testo software support for new and existing customers
  • Carry out on and off-site customer training
  • Pre-Sale project support including on-site customer visits
  • Training of Testo staff on software and product
  • On site temperature/humidity mapping


Requirements

  • Solid organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Flexible working and willingness to travel, including overnight
  • Knowledge of the Pharma and Food sectors would be beneficial but not essential
  • Preferably a Qualification in a technical discipline
  • Motivated with an aptitude to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office and especially Excel
