In the life sciences industry, 25°C is considered one of the most important temperatures as it is an ambient or immediate surrounding temperature condition. All life science facilities develop, manufacture, research, or store raw materials and finished product under ambient conditions. The 25°C temperature condition needs to be mapped, validated, monitored, and controlled by many different integral systems.
For warehouses and facilities, Air Handling Units (AHU’s) control temperature and relative humidity at certain controlling setpoints. Stability chambers are regulated by the ambient facility conditions within rooms which are controlled by the room and facility AHU’s. These ambient conditions in turn need to be closely monitored in case of actual temperature deviations from required control setpoints.

A monitoring system must be implemented that can safely and securely record pertinent ambient temperature data while also alerting users of temperature deviations. The complete system should be able to interface with an intuitive software that is FDA compliant and is 21 CFR Part 11 certified. A system that is robust, durable and capable of withstanding required temperature conditions, as well as cleaning solutions in the case of clean room implementation, is crucial in the life science industry.
