Combustion Testing and Analysis - Industrial Processes
Combustion analysis in industrial processes can vary widely. It can be extreme in terms of flue gas concentrations, extreme in particulate loading, or extreme in temperatures. Even the sample locations can have extreme temperatures or stack elevation. The testo 350 has numerous options that allow testing in essentially all of these situations.
The Testo 350 is used for:

Configure the 350 with only the O2 and CO sensor to determine combustion stability or use it to trace O2 leakage within a kiln. Use the CO measurement it to pinpoint a bad burner. With the optional dilution upgrade the analyzer can measure up to 400,000 ppm so you don’t need to worry about sensor over-range.
Expand your testing range to 40 times!
The dilution system provides great flexibility when combustion is out of control or you simply need to measure other high concentrations. Just swap the plug & play sensor to the dilution channel to expand up to 40 times the sensor range or activate the “overall dilution mode” to expand the range of all toxic sensors to 5 times their normal operation range. The display values are corrected for the selected dilution factor eliminating the need for calculations.
Multiport Simultaneous testing
Data from multiple sampling locations taken simultaneously provides a new and faster way to improve combustion performance on pollution controls. Using the Testo BUS System, multiple analyzers (up to 16 total) can be connected (daisy chained together) and the measurement can all be see in the hand held control unit. Better yet, use Easy Emission software to displays graphs of NOx or CO in real-time. Select only the measurements you want to display then simply click back and forth from a graphic or tabular view to see trends or averaged measurement values.
CO2 Measured - to 50%!
Configure the testo 350 to measure CO2 and O2 only and have the most cost effective, portable, reference analyzer in the market today.
The measurement (not calculated) of CO2 is vitally important to satisfy product quality standards for materials like concrete, lime, steel, or glass. The infrared technology used in the testo 350 CO2 module has the widest sensor range enabling it to meet the needs of producing these materials.

Many industrial emission sources have harsh sampling environments including extremely high temperatures to high particulate loading.

Periodic process monitoring
The testo 350 has many design features that also permit “semi-stationary” monitoring. With massive memory and the ability to perform automatic testing programs, the analyzer can log combustion values for more than a month. Download from memory using easyEmission software, or use the software to control and capture data. The 350 can also be operated through “user developed” software. Use the testo-tool box software kit and develop your own testing and data logging program into your data acquisition system.
Advanced features for semi-continuous monitoring include these option:
Automatic sample gas conditioning (peltier-type) with hose bib to empty condensate
- Trigger switch to turn on testing program (activate with a falling/rising signal)
