    With the testo 885, Testo has developed a professional thermal imager which combines comprehensive functions for building thermography in an ergonomic housing.

    • Detector size 320 x 240 pixels: with 76,800 temperature measuring points, measurement objects are clearly and accurately captured in outstanding image quality
    • SuperResolution Technology to 640 x 480 pixels: this feature takes the image quality to the next level – making the resolution of the thermal images four times higher

    Practical features of the thermal imager specially for building thermography

    • Large field of view with selection of the standard lens (30°): with this wide-angle lens, large image sections are immediately recognized, and the temperature distribution of the measurement object recorded at a glance. (This kit gives you the choice between 3 lenses: standard, 25° or telephoto lens)
    • Panorama image assistant: in the case of large measurement objects, the panorama image assistant enables analysis and documentation of the measurement with an overall image compiled from multiple individual images. So there is no need to manage, view and compare a large number of images, which can be laborious. It enables images of entire building shells
    • Special measuring mode for detecting areas susceptible to mould: the dewpoint in the room is calculated by manually entering the ambient temperature and humidity. The dewpoint is then compared with the surface temperature value measured by the camera. Traffic light colours shown on the display (red, yellow, green) then enable readout of the mould risk. The radio humidity probe included in the kit makes things easier: automatic transmission of readings means that manual input of humidity and ambient temperature is no longer needed

    In electrical installations or cables, increased temperatures are always an indication of an overload, an imminent malfunction or an existing defect.     There are two main reasons for inspecting solar energy systems: safety and performance monitoring. Solar energy systems achieve their top performance in full sunshine. Testo thermal imagers can be used to monitor photovoltaic systems of all sizes in a way that is wide-ranging, contact-free and exceptionally efficient. Malfunctions are detected, the proper functioning of all components is ensured and the greatest possible efficiency is thus achieved. Additional reliability is also achieved through the ability to enter the key measurement parameter of solar radiation intensity: the value entered is stored with the thermal image and is then available for the image analysis.

    Reliable high temperature measurement

    Testo thermal imagers adapt to the requirements for applications with high scene temperatures. With the high temperature option, the measuring range can be flexibly extended up to 550 °C . The high-contrast presentation on the display is achieved via the high-temperature iron HT colour palette or the special histogram adjustment.
