Not all thermo-hygrometers are the same and Testo offers the right humidity measuring device for every application. When taking measurements, it should be borne in mind that humidity production in a room can vary and is dependent on air exchange, among other things. For example, the air in a living environment is less humid if it is ventilated more frequently. The exchange with the outside air is a decisive factor for the indoor climate. The absorption of moisture by the room's furnishings and the walls also varies. In an office, for example, significantly less moisture is absorbed through the furnishings and walls than in a living room with thick curtains, fluffy carpet and real wood furniture. In the laboratory environment, it is therefore important to determine the humidity of the room and take its influence on experiments and test set-ups into account in order to obtain usable results.

There are also various probes that are designed as standard probes or for special applications, e.g. for measuring humidity at temperatures up to +180°C. Measure humidity: Not possible without a measuring device
Certainly, many people have an amazing sense of room humidity and can judge whether the relative humidity is around 50 percent or more. But to work scientifically or in production, you need more than this subjective feeling. Values must be determined precisely, which is only possible with a thermo-hygrometer.

Room humidity is an important factor influencing people's well-being. Ideally, the relative humidity should be around 50 %, with 30 to 65 % usually being specified as the limit values, whereby the latter is already perceived as very humid. The humidity measuring device reliably indicates how high the current room humidity is. Sensitive sensors ensure accurate measurement and the hygrometer's large display makes the values easy to read from all directions. A thermometer integrated in the thermo-hygrometer shows the measured room temperature, and both values make it possible to make statements about the room climate.
For many materials, it is essential to know their residual moisture content. With firewood, for example, it is important to know whether it is already dry enough to be placed in the fireplace. Is the screed already dry so that construction work on the new house can continue? And is the remaining material moisture in a laboratory test low enough to continue with the experiment? The thermo-hygrometer provides reliable and, above all, extremely precise answers to these and other questions. It uses the highly sensitive sensors, measures the data and makes it available in an easy-to-read display.
Supplement the thermo-hygrometer with the data logger
Sometimes it is not enough just to measure data with the thermo-hygrometer. This data often needs to be collected constantly and recorded at the same time. If materials are stored that are particularly sensitive to increasing room humidity, it is very important to monitor this. The humidity data logger makes it possible to record the data. The measured values are clearly displayed and changes are immediately recognizable. This is a useful addition to the thermo-hygrometer and all the necessary data is available.
