The Role & Responsibilities:

As Internal Sales Specialist you will provide proactive internal sales support to the HVAC/R division, managing customer enquiries, supporting external sales colleagues, and driving revenue through effective order processing, quotation management, and customer relationship development. The role plays a key part in delivering high levels of customer service while achieving sales targets and supporting Testo UK’s growth within the HVAC/R market.  Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sales & Customer Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for inbound customer enquiries (telephone, email, CRM).

  • Prepare and follow up customer quotations, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.

  • Process sales orders efficiently and in line with internal procedures.

  • Proactively identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within the HVAC/R product range.

  • Support key accounts and assigned territories in collaboration with external sales engineers.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand needs, promote products, and identify new opportunities.

  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns in a professional and customer‑focused manner.

Sales Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales data within CRM systems.

  • Monitor order progress and liaise with logistics, service, and finance teams as required.

  • Support sales reporting, forecasts, and KPI tracking.

  • Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and quality standards.

Collaboration & Product Knowledge

  • Work closely with Aftersales, Service, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure seamless customer support.

  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of HVAC/R products and applications.

  • Participate in product training and sales development initiatives.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, customer-focused individual with excellent communication and organisational skills.  They will have a proven track record in sales, a strong understanding of sales processes, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills and Qualities

  • Minimum of 2 years in a sales or customer role, preferably within the same industry.

  • CRM, SAP and Microsoft application experience would be advantageous.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to organise & manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
