Migrating to testo Saveris Cloud: What you need to know
For Saveris 2 Basic customers
Saveris 2 Cloud end of service: 12.10.2026
Important notice
On October 12th 2026, Saveris 2 will be discontinued. From this date onward, all regular Saveris 2 functions will no longer be available. You will no longer be able to receive alarms from your measurement points, access automatic reports or configure your system.
We strongly encourage you to complete your migration as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any interruption to your service.

Generation 1 data loggers use an older architecture and are not compatible with testo Smart Connect. These devices must therefore be replaced. You can identify them by their serial numbers, which start with 45. Please contact your local Testo representative to request an exclusive replacement quote.
1. What is happening?
The testo Saveris 2 cloud has served as a reliable solution for many years, but the underlying system architecture has reached the limits of what modern requirements demand. To ensure the highest standards of stability, performance, and data security going forward, a migration to a new platform is the logical next step. By proactively making this transition, you protect your operations against potential vulnerabilities and position yourself to take full advantage of the latest technological advancements — ensuring your monitoring solution remains robust, secure, and future-proof for years to come.
Therefore, the Saveris 2 Cloud will be retired on 12 October 2026. To continue monitoring without any interruption, you will need to move to testo Saveris Cloud — our new monitoring platform.
To make this as easy as possible, we will provide a Migration Wizard available directly in your Saveris 2 Cloud interface from beginning of May 2026. It guides you step by step and handles the technical transfer automatically — no IT expertise required.
As there is no free Basic licence in testo Saveris Cloud, we would like to grant all Basic customers a 6-month free trial — for the same number of loggers currently active in your account. After the trial period, your account will automatically continue with a paid subscription. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends.

3. What gets migrated — and what doesn't?

Check your logger list — make sure all loggers that should be migrated are active in Saveris 2
Delete any loggers you no longer need
Download any reports you want to keep
During migration
Log in to Saveris 2 Cloud

Follow the Migration Wizard step by step
Confirm activation of your 6-month free trial
After migration
Log in to testo Saveris Cloud and verify all loggers are visible and reporting
Check measurement profiles and alarm thresholds
Check user accounts and permissions
Create automatic reports in testo Saveris Cloud if you want them
Recreate alarm schedules / downtimes in testo Saveris Cloud
If you were using SMS for alarms in Saveris 2, make sure to purchase an SMS package in testo Saveris Cloud or set up push notifications to receive alarms on your mobile device free of charge

5. Frequently asked questions
A: The Migration Wizard will be available from the end of April 2026. You must complete migration before 12 October 2026, when Saveris 2 Cloud will be switched off. We recommend migrating as early as possible once the wizard is available.
A: Yes — make sure all loggers that should be migrated are active in Saveris 2.
A: No — all measurement data from your dataloggers is transferred automatically by the Migration Wizard.
A: Your alarm thresholds and measurement profiles are transferred automatically. However, alarm schedules and downtimes must be reconfigured manually in testo Saveris Cloud.
A: No. The Migration Wizard handles the technical transfer. Your loggers will continue to work without any hardware changes or manual reconfiguration.
A: For most customers, the Migration Wizard completes within a few minutes. Larger installations may take a little longer.
A: Yes. After the 6-month free trial, your account will automatically continue with a paid subscription for the same number of loggers. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends if you do not wish to continue.
A: You will receive a separate email with the documentation of the new API feature in testo Saveris Cloud.
A: Saveris 2 Cloud will be discontinued on 12 October 2026. From that date, access to its functions will be restricted. Migration will remain possible for a limited period, and you will still be able to export your historical data.
A: Your local Testo representative or Testo Support team are happy to assist.
If you had an active SMS package in Saveris 2, you will receive a full SMS package with 250 credits in testo Smart Connect at no extra charge. If you need additional SMS credits beyond that, you can purchase further packages at any time. A new SMS package will be booked automatically if your credits fall below 25. Alternatively, you can set up push notifications on your mobile device to receive alerts free of charge.
When your Saveris 2 account is migrated, it will automatically use a new testo Saveris Cloud account using your existing Saveris 2 account details. It is not possible to change which account it is linked to. If this does not match your setup, please contact our service team for assistance.
