Detect humidity and find mould formation

location-thermography-003820.jpg

Moisture in the interiors of buildings often leads to extensive problems: construction defects and incorrect user behaviour can result in mould formation. Testo's patent-pending “humidity image” displays the relative surface humidity for each individual measuring value in the image. This means you can measure any increased humidity and detect the first signs of mould damage, before this is actually visible to the naked eye. The thermal imager's temperature measurement here serves as a basis for calculating the relative surface humidity.

The Testo humidity image using traffic light principle

The humidity pallet on Testo thermal imagers then uses the traffic light principle to represent the different risk zones:

Green = no risk

Amber = caution, mould formation possible

Red = WARNING! Risk of mould

Moisture analysis with radio humidity probe

The optional humidity measurement with external radio humidity probe means you can identify air moisture in rooms even more easily: the measuring values are automatically transmitted wirelessly to the thermal imager in real time. This means there is no longer any need for manual input of measuring values and the up-to-date measuring values are always saved with the image. The radio humidity probe is available for many Testo thermal imagers, e.g. for the testo 885.

Humidity analysis – reporting

After mould has been identified or moisture measured, Testo “mould images” can quickly and easily be transmitted to the software where they are compiled into a professional report in five easy steps. You can save this as a pdf file and present it to your customer.

Reports accoring to DIN EN 13187

Specially for examining building shells for thermal bridges, IRSoft offers report templates, so that reports can be created quickly and easily in accordance with DIN EN 13187. In addition, the report designer can be used to create user-defined templates for individual reports.
