Job Description – Marketing Specialist - Food Business Unit
Reports to: Food Business Unit Manager
Reporting Locations: West Chester, PA or Sparta, NJ
Hybrid: 4 days office, 1 day remote
This role is accountable for achieving quantifiable year-over-year (YOY) growth in sales-ready leads. The Marketing Specialist will develop, implement, and optimize data-driven marketing strategies and content tailored to Testo’s Food portfolio, measurably enhancing our brand position and market penetration.
Overall Performance Objective:Â Achieve a targeted YOY increase in sales-ready leads (defined by MQL-to-SQL conversion rates) from both new and competitive displacement opportunities, directly contributing to the Food Business Unit's sales pipeline and revenue goals.
Objective: Consistently generate a high volume of qualified leads and optimize the conversion funnel.
Activities & KPIs:
Develop and execute social media strategies to achieve an increase in lead generation from social channels and growth in engagement rates.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales enablement tools and processes, aiming to improve the MQL-to-SQL conversion rate and reduce the average sales cycle length for marketing-generated leads.
Track and report on Cost Per Lead (CPL) and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) for all lead generation activities.
Objective: Enhance brand awareness among target segments and drive qualified traffic that converts to leads.
Activities & KPIs:
Design, launch, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, content, trade shows, events) with clear lead generation targets and a focus on achieving a target Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI).
Develop high-impact marketing materials (brochures, case studies, white papers, presentations) measured by their usage in the sales process and their contribution to lead conversion rates (e.g., [B]% conversion rate from content downloads).
Implement and manage SEO strategies to achieve and maintain top search engine rankings for targeted keywords and execute PPC campaigns to achieve a target Click-Through Rate (CTR) and a conversion rate while optimizing for a specific Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
Monitor and report on website traffic, landing page conversion rates, and overall campaign engagement metrics.
Objective: Leverage data analytics to continuously refine marketing strategies and ensure market relevance.
Activities & KPIs:
Regularly analyze marketing campaign performance data (using CRM, Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms) to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and report on key metrics including lead volume & conversion rates.
Conduct A/B testing on digital assets (emails, landing pages, ads) to improve key performance metrics.
Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, technologies, legislation, and regulations, presenting quarterly insights to marketing and sales teams to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Cultivate relationships with industry influencers and key opinion leaders, seeking to secure co-marketing opportunities or endorsements per year.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
5 years of marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding lead generation and revenue growth targets.
Proven experience in developing and executing data-driven marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, email, social, content).
Strong analytical skills with experience using marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM analytics, marketing automation software) to interpret data and drive decisions.
Proficiency in SEO/PPC principles and campaign management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to present data and insights clearly.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
